Almond Donuts w/ CBD Drizzle

Almond Matcha Donuts with CBD Coconut Butter Drizzle - quite literally a mouthful : )

We have been experimenting this week with using the oven as a dehydrator. Baking at low temperatures and longer time helps firm things up so our treats can be portable and not turn to mush on these final summer days. It also adds a nice crunchier texture. Play around with the donut base, subbing whatever nuts you have on hand and different baking times for your desired texture. The icing can be made with CBD for a calming evening treat or without.

The Donut

- 1/2 c oats

- 1/2 c almond meal

- 1 c almonds

- 5 dates

- 1 tbls. flax 

- 3 tbls. coconut oil

- 1 tbls. coconut butter

- 1 tsp. habitual matcha

- dash of vanilla

- pinch of salt

Put all the ingredients into a food processor and pulse until incorporated. Fill a lightly oiled mini donut pan with the mixture and bake at 200 degrees for about 45 minutes. 

ICING

- 1 tbls. coconut butter (heat to melt)

- 3 tbls. of mylk (adding one tbls. at a time)

- tsp. CDB

We like to top things off with some bee pollen.
